What does it involve?

Where do they come from?
The platelet growth factors (PRP) are tiny biologically active protein fragments that are mainly found in the platelets, in the macrophages and the proteins in the blood plasma.
The growth factors control the restructuring of the skin and therefore play a crucial role in its overall appearance, but as we get older less of them are produced and their activity decreases.
How are they obtained?
It’s a very simple procedure. Blood is taken from the patient and it is centrifuged. The fraction of the platelet concentration or the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is separated from the test tube and then a tiny amount of calcium chloride is added to this which then transforms the fibrinogen into fibrin and this is immediately injected into the area of the skin to be treated.
What aesthetic effects does it have?
It has a bio-regenerating, deep moisturizing effect, it stimulates the collagen and the elastin, thus making the skin smoother, reducing those fine lines and wrinkles. It’s quite similar to the results obtained with hyaluronic acid.
