What is a spot?

A spot is a melanin disorder, the pigment that gives colour to the skin, which produces dark spots on the skin. They may be aging spots that appear with age, benign localized areas of pigmentation, keratoses or actinic spots due to sun exposure. In any case, they are spots with excessive pigmentation, whatever the reason.

What kind of spot requires treatment?

For the best results, each case must be carefully studied first: the patient's age, skin phototype, type of hyperpigmentation, etc. The key to successful facial hyperpigmentation treatment is consistency.

What is the most effective treatment?

  • PEELINGS: A chemical peels is controlled peeling of the skin in the treated area applied until the spot is completely removed. Phenol, TCA, Glycolic or Amel might be used. This method works by removing the melanin spots from the face (melasma and chloasma). It is fast, it does not cause peeling and it can be performed at any time of the year. It is also suitable for all skin types.
  • LASER IPL Harmony: This Laser Platform, along with the most suitable choice of treatment depending on the type of spot, will remove it completely.
  • DERMOCOSMETIC CARE: By means of the SD skin diagnosis Anti-Aging Platform, we will subsequently recommend the most effective depigmentation therapy to follow, as well as the most suitable sunscreen and antioxidants to use for your skin. Without this post-care, and without controlled sun exposure, the spots may reappear, because there is always melanin in the treated area.
